Microformats UK (alpha release) launches - an aggregated view of the microformats blogosphere

Today I launched the Alpha version of Microformats UK, a microformats research aggregator of some sorts. I started the project out of frustration of not being able to quickly keep myself updated with latest Microformats developments. I believe Microformat adoption will increase as their usefulness becomes better understood by the wider web design community. To do this, web designers and developers need easy access to research, news, and general discussion on the topic. Therefore, i’ve built a very crude, but hopefully effective, aggregated view of current Microformat blog posts and news items from trusted news sources.

So far the project is quite simple, and has taken just a few hours to get this release online. However, I’d love to hear your thoughts for how the simple service can develop.

(one quite obvious thing to mention…at the time of writing this post, i don’t have a single microformat on the site! That will change over the next few hours when the next incremental release goes up…)
