I’ve recently completed a chunk of research to shortlist tools that could help our team plan and communicate the user experience (UX) more effectively for PageDo. We have a distributed team – we’re not all based at the same location, therefore we need a tool that help us communicate ideas and concepts when face-to-face contact is not possible.
I’ve listed a number of the tools that made it to our shortlist below. If you’re in a similar situation, hopefully this will save you a few hours searching for the same answers
- Mockingbird (wireframing)
- Protoshare (wireframing and feedback)
- LovelyCharts (charts, workflows and flow diagrams)
- Gliffy (flow diagram creation)
- Prototype Composer (requirements gathering)
- Product Planner (a collection of user submitted userflows)
- Wireframing Kit for Google Drawings (rapid UI prototyping templates for Google Docs)
- iPlotz (wireframing and UI prototyping)
- Pidoco (clickable UI prototyping)
