MySpace launches aggregated news publishing service

MySpace launched yesterday their aggregated news service, a pleasingly distant relative of Digg.com, Netscape.com and Wikio - but a rather poor relative to Newsvine. Aggregated news services are fast becoming a popular tool for service based websites looking to attract a loyal team of content contributors. There is still plenty of room in this market space for growth, but only if smaller communities - and their values - are embraced, rather being consumed by monolithic companies like MySpace.
